Remember when popular baby names use to be Nicolas or Veronica well looks like in 2011 things will be a little different thanks to social networks.

Well it looks like Facebook has officially taken over baby names for 2011. A man in Egypt decided to name his daughter Facebook in honor of the social website. He says that the site has helped him to organize lots of protests and for that he is thankful so to honor the site he gave his daughter that name. Her full name is Facebook Jamal Ibrahim. (Help her baby Jesus). It doesn’t end here people this is a worldwide epidemic. In Israel some kid just got named like yes you read it right LIKE! Are you serious?! If this was a Facebook status for real in would dislike it ASAP! The father said ,”I checked that the name does not exist elsewhere in the country, that was the main condition for me,” he said.”It’s short and sweet,” Vardit Adler, Like’s mother, told Reuters. “It’s very important to me and to my husband that the names we give our children are unique, creative and totally new.”

Seriously people think about how your kids will get teased at school? For example some kid could come up to that little girl and say hey can u give me some Facebook then point and laugh… Or if that little boy like turns out to be an ugly little kid yet he has the courage to ask some girl out she could easily say ohhh noo I don’t LIKE you. Moral of the story stop with the retarded names people! Yet it’s interesting to see how serious people take social networks.
